This page explains our privacy policy which includes the use and protection of all information submitted by visitors. If you choose to register and transact using our Portal or send an email containing personal data, these data may be shared with other City University departments in order to help you as quickly and efficiently as possible. For example, to resolve or record complaints that require it extended to other departments.
COOKIES
Some websites (including our gate) generating 'cookies', which are collected by the server site to enable it to recognize you for the next visit. Cookies do not store your data permanently and it's also not stored on the hard disk of your computer. Cookies will be deleted once you close your browser
INFORMATION LOG
When you access to the CityU portal, our web servers automatically record information that your browser sends whenever you visit a website. These server logs include information such as your web request, Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request and one or more cookies that uniquely identify your browser.
DATA PROTECTION
The latest technology including encryption software is used to safeguard any data given to us and strict security standards are maintained to prevent any unauthorized access.
CUMULATIVE INFORMATION
No personal information is stored when you surf the CityU portal unless the information provided to you via e-mail, where it is in part a secure gateway.
POLICY CHANGE
If there is any change in the privacy policy, it will be updated on this site. Make sure you always surf the privacy policy to make sure you always know which information is stored, how and when it is used and if there is, whether it is shared with other parties.
FEES
Fees is prescribed for every course of study and is stipulated in the Yearly Fee Schedule.
Fees paid are not refundable or transferable.
Students are also required to pay assessment fee or any external examination fee which is stipulated in the fee schedule.

REFUND
Refund of fees are subject to City U’s fee policy. An administrative fee will be chargeable for approved refunds.
The enrolment fee is strictly non-refundable except in the event student cannot be accepted due to non-fulfilment of minimum entry requirements (this does not include provisional/conditional offer). Students who withdraw on their own accord will be liable to pay an administrative fee.

1. For active students, any excess will be offset with future invoice.
2. For non-active students, any excess/deposit will be refunded upon settlement of all outstanding fees.
3. For graduated students, any excess/deposit will be refunded upon settlement of all outstanding fees, subject to the approval of Senate.
FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Tuition fees payable are in Ringgit Malaysia. Any shortfall arising from foreign exchange currency transactions to Ringgit Malaysia and bank charges will be borne by the student while any surplus will be reflected as excess payment in the student statement account.
